The third of Gerard Hoffnung's music festivals, with this 1961 album being recorded two years after Hoffnung's death and therefore something of a tribute. Described as an evening of extravagant symphonic caricature, the evening included the Excerpt from Belshazzar's Feast and the Horrortorio. Whilst several of the jokes were obviously visual, something that does not quite carry over on audio alone, it is possible to get the full flavour of the event.
