Helen Shapiro was just fourteen years of age when she scored her first major hit, taking Don’t Treat Me Like A Child to #3. Both her follow up singles, You Don’t Know and Walkin’ Back To Happiness topped the chart, making her the youngest female to top the UK singles chart. Yet her record label was keen to show that she was more than a pop curiosity, getting to record a wide variety of repertoire for her debut album Tops With Me. The ploy worked, with the album peaking at #2 on the album chart, even though it contained none of her hit singles. This package redresses that, containing the original twelve tracks that made up the Tops With Me album, together with seven hit singles (from Don’t Treat Me Like A Child through to Keep Away From Other Girls and rounded off with Kiss ‘N’ Run, which was the original flip side to Walkin’ Back To Happiness.
