A former beauty queen, Anita Bryant enjoyed a hugely successful run of hit singles and albums at the tail end of the 1950s and the start of the following decade. Whilst her albums never sold in the same kind of quantities, they were all well-crafted and invariably themed, as was the case with In My Little Corner Of The World. Here the songs all have something of a geographical twist, an interesting concept that enabled Anita to cover such evergreens as Granada, Autumn In New York and I Love Paris. Originally released in January 1961, the album would make a fleeting appearance on the chart, although it deserved much more. Accompanied by the Lew Douglas Orchestra and Chorus and produced by Alan Parsons, this is one of her better albums.
